You can use the EDGeS infrastructure in several ways:
- When you are a Desktop Grid operator or a Service Grid operator, you can connect your Grid to other Grids through the EDGeS infrastructure. This increases the amaount of computing resources available to your users. You can also take advantage of the applications that are ported to the Grid.
- When you are a Virtal Organisation (VO) manager of EGEe, ELAA, SEEGRID, or one of the other connected service Grids, you can connect your Grid VO to the EDGeS VO and add resources and applications.
- When you are a Grid application user and you are on an EDGeS connected Grid, you can use more computing resources than are available on your "own" Grid. When you use an appliaction that is ported to more Grids, they will automatically run on those Grids. You only have to submit jobs on your "own" Grid. There is no need to learn the peculiarities of other Grids.
- When you want to donate your unused computing time to science, just connect to one of the Grids in the EDGeS infrastructure, and you are part of the largest computing Grid in the world.
In the Technical Documentation section, we did collect user guides, sheets from tutorials and other useful reference information.
Message Board
There is a special message board with operational messages about the EDGeS infrastructure.
