In today's world of clouds, we tend to forget, that there is a successfull category of distributed infrastructure that is wideley used in science and industry. These are desktop grids. Both the largest Grids for science and in industry are Desktop Grids. This presentation provides a short overview of Desktop Grids and their place in the infrastructure world.
