To run an application on the EDGeS infrastructure, it must run on at least one of the connected Grids. To fully profit from the EDGeS infrastructures it needs to run on at least two Grids.

Please  follow the next steps:

1. Is your application already in the list of supported applications?
2. If not, try to figure out if it already runs on the Grid middleware that is supported by EDGeS. I.e. Does it run already on gLite, BOINC or XtremWeb.
3. If not, try using the EDGeS porting service
4. If you have an application that technically runs on a supported Grid middleware, you need to run it on a specific Desktop Grid or Service Grid. Look for one amongst the ones that are connected to EDGeS already. Again, EDGeS can help you with this.
5. The Desktop Grid operator or Service Grid Virtual Organisation manager needs to install your application on the EDGeS Bridge and the EDGeS appliaction repository.
6. Done all that? Then you are ready to use the computational power of all the connected resources to run your appliaction.
